Cornell -> Stanford Engineering

<p>I just received my first semester grade and was wondering if there is a legit chance of transferring to Stanford from Cornell... Also, does Stanford accept freshman transfers?</p>

Intro Chemical Engineering: A
Honors General and Inorganic Chemistry: A
First Year Writing Seminar: B</p>

<p>Cornell GPA: 3.79 </p>

<p>High school: 33/660ish
SAT: 2340
SATII: math IIc: 800
Chemistry: 770
Physics: 710</p>

<p>solid ECs with decent leadership including founding a club but nothing spectacular</p>

<p>I was previously Deferred then Rejected by Stanford...</p>

<p>does the B in the writing class hurt that much?</p>

<p>Yes, Stanford Does Accept A Limited Amount Of Transfers A Year...i Believe Around 50 To 75 A Year. As In Any Situation These Are Highly Competitive Seats. I Assume You Have A Chance At Stanford Considering That You Were Deferred First Not Rejected But Then Were Rejected Second...possibly Because Of A Limited Number Of Seats...so Give It A Try.</p>
