What are my chances for Duke, Auburn, Clemson, Vandy, Ga tech, UFl????

I will be honest.
Duke - no chance at all.
Vandy - maybe, but I doubt it
Gatech - can happen

dang, can anybody help me??????

please, somebody with more opinions???

whats your rank?

my rank is 18 percentile. I am 68/374

Take the SATs again. And kill yourself studying for it. Other than that at this point there's really nothing else you can do...

so whats up, what chance do i have at these schools, nobody has given me an in depth, great opinion, just stupid side comments(sorry, but you all have not helped)

What exactly do you want? A written analysis of all your extra curricular activities?

You have a low GPA, low SAT scores, low ACT scores and low rank, compared to the average at Duke.

Your ECs are average to above average. But there really isn't anything about you that stands out... besides your race.

no david, and you dont have to be som blunt, because that does not help. i just want to know my chances for each one iof the following schools i have applied to

I think btbvector summed them up for you. I'm sorry if you don't like what he said.

you have no chance for Duke.

so what schools, engineering or physics, do you all recommend. and besides, I AM ASKING MY CHANCES FOR THE OTHER SCHOOLS AS WELL, JUST NOT FOR DUKE. LOOK AT WHAT I ASKED.

How about Purdue?

Ever considered going to the West Coast? University of California Riverside, Irvine, Santa Cruz, Santa Barbara are decent schools and you have a legit shot at all of those schools. Plus UCs love minorities.

Look at the stats for the schools you are interested in. If your scores are above 25%, you have a chance (your URM status will help you at most colleges). If your scores are above 75%, you can probably consider it a safety. You can look up this info on the college web site, or in any college guide book.

Try RPI or R-H.

what colleges do you guys think i should spend my time looking at. i would like to go to a large well known college in the south known for thier physics program or civil engineering

U-Texas Austin maybe?

i think you should try for purdue. howardini222 already suggested that, it's not too hard to get into, since it is a public school, but it's either top or number 2 to notre dame engineering in the state of indiana. i'm not sure as to which is better. you can also try rose-hulman tech...it's also in indiana, ranked third for eng., but not as prestigious. also look into your in-state engineering schools. some are pretty decent. i consider myself lucky to actually live in indiana.

i am from georgia, would tech be good for me
