Essay
-currently struggling.. years in front of the computer, tv, and nintendo ds have not helped me at all! but i don't regret any minute of it =D

What are my chances are for UCLA and Berkeley? Those are my target schools but I'm also applying to UCSD and UCI. Preferred major is biology. I don't really see my ECs pushing me into LA or Cal, but hopefully my SATI and APs will be enough? THANKS!

UCLA is a Match. UCB might be a reach due to the fact that your GPA is a tiny bit low and you say that you are struggling with your essay, which is above all, most important.

I think you have a decent chance at LA and Berkeley with those SATs/APs, just write a good essay and have good recs. :)

Your SAT is ok for UCLA/UCB. Your GPA is borderline. Your ECs might give you a small tip. You have a good chance for UCLA if the Class of '09 Committee is the same as ASB.

Thanks guys. Hm, I thought UCs didn't need/want letters of rec. I'm a pretty strong writer, but I just can't think of anything to write about. Oh, and C/O '09 Committee is not ASB, but we do things exclusively for our class like poster painting, selling senior gear, making homecoming floats, etc.

You are right, no letters of recommendation for UCs.
