GPA: 4.02 weighted, not sure what unweighted is

AP Courses: Calc AB, Calc BC, Physics A part 1, Art history, German V, Environmental Science
Extracurriculars: bagpipes, flying (lessons to get private pilots licence), working at airport as a mechanic, photography, german, traveling, german exchange, programming (as a hobby)
Essays: I think they were all pretty decent, mostly about my flying and bagpiping
Letters of Recommendation: really good one from german teacher and not sure about the second one from math teacher
Also starting an aviation club at my school. This is for Early action for class of 2022
The 4.02 weighted GPA and the fact that you are not in the top 15% of your class make it seem like you got a lot of Bs. You also have not taken many APs classes compared to most applicants. If my assumption on your grades is correct, you will face an uphill battle gaining admission, despite your strong test scores and some interesting involvement. Most applicants to Tech have received close to straight As in a rigorous curriculum including 8-13 college level courses.
I got 3 B’s freshmen year (spanish, english, honors geometry), 1 B+ sophomore year (honors chemistry) and 1 B+ junior year (calc ab), but the rest are A’s or A-'s
and 6 A-'s but the rest are A’s or A+'s
results come out in two days, no point in chancing right now.
