<p>Hi! (-: I really really REALLY want to go to UCI with nursing as my major but my grades/ test scores arent strong but I'm still wondering if I have a chance?
So here's my stats-- Oh I'm a junior becoming a senior btw :-D</p>
<p>School: Diamond Bar High School (CA)
GPA: uw- 3.2 w- 3.5
Rank: Top half</p>
<h1>AP classes taken/ will take: 4</h1>
<p>SATS: 1850 <--- the last time I took it; I'm retaking in October
SAT 2s: Bio: 590 US History: 620 <--- And I will take English Language sometime in the fall
EC:
- Class of 2010 officer (2 years)
- Class committee (will be going onto my 4th year)
- Orchestra (will be going onto my 4th year)
- Piano (5 years)
- Link Crew (1 year)
- Comission to Help North Korean Refugees (CNKR) officer (1 year)
- LEO Club (3 years)</p>

<p>You def have a chance to go to UCI, but since you’re going to go into nursing, i thought i’d offer a bit of advice</p>
<p>IDK if there is a program like this, but for the University of Pittsburgh, you can go to nursing school through a hospital like Children’s or Mercy. You get done in like 22 months and the best part is it’s a FREE program as long as you stay with the hosptial for two years. One kid in my physics class is doing that and will be done a full two years earlier than a girl going to Carlow for nursing. Plus, he’ll graduate debt free. ALso, these programs tend to be far easier to get into…</p>
<p>Sadly, your gpa is low for UCI and getting one of the nursing program spots is very competitive. Your leadership is good. Study hard this summer to dramatically improve your SATs. Consider taking the ACT with Writing in Sept to give yourself the best chance for admission. Good luck.</p>
