Hi all,

I'm about to transfer from community college to Cal States this Fall 2014 and already completed my applications as soon as they came out. I just want to know my chances for these following Cal State campuses.

Cal Poly SLO and Pomona

San Jose State

Long Beach

East Bay (Hayward)

San Diego State

Chico

I spent 1 year in University of California - Riverside as an Electrical Engineer major but was academically dismissed due to my poor academic performance. I enrolled in my local community college and found my true calling to be in Biology. I've been in a community college for 3 years satisfying the requirements in order to transfer and have been doing well after the incident. Here are my stats:

UCR cumulative G.P.A: 1.89 with 45 Quarter units completed/49 attempted (DISGUSTING)
CC cumulative G.P.A: 3.6 with 70 semester units
Total transferable: 3.13

I plan to transfer as a B.S. Biology major (concentration in Microbiology/Medical Technology) to those CSU campuses listed above. I'm about to complete all the required prerequisites for upper-division classes and if I manage to pull all As this semester, my total transferable G.P.A will increase to a ~3.25 and will even increase to a 3.35 by the end of spring (assuming I get all As).

What are my chances?
One last question: After I complete my undergrad, I plan to go to grad school/professional schools, do I even have a chance with my academic dismissal behind my back? (I will retake the class the I've failed)

I apologize for this long question and please, don't sugarcoat things. I deeply appreciate honest feedback.
