What are my chances? (INTERNATIONAL STUDENT) please help

Hey guys, I'm a brazilian student who just graduated high school and intend on going to the US for college. I have an 1800 on my SAT (CR 620, MATH 640, W 540) and a 101 on my TOEFL. I don't know how much my GPA is because we use different grading systems. I'm applying for these universities:

University of Georgia
University of South Carolina - Columbia
UMass Amherst
NC State
Rutgers

Do I have any chance of being accepted? How high does my GPA have to be?

Thanks in advance..

The situation for international students is completely different from that of US students. Your best help in this process will come from the staff at the closest office of EducationUSA. There are several offices in Brazil: [EducationUSA - Find an Advising Center](http://www.educationusa.info/Brazil#.UBgQ9bSe4po) Before visiting, you should read through the main website at [EducationUSA | Study Abroad, Student Visa, University Fairs, College Applications and Study in the U.S. / America](http://www.educationusa.state.gov)

You also should pay a visit to [International Students - College Confidential](International Students - College Confidential Forums) where you will find lots of good ideas.

Thanks for the help! I know, I have a company speacialized in sending brazilian students to the US helping me, but I wanted to know what my odds were, I’m freaking out not knowing if I have any chances of getting in or not…

Your SAT is a bit low, but for the schools you’re looking at may be right in range.
Different schools have different requirements for TOEFL, look on their websites to see what scores they expect from international students.
You definitely have a chance of being accepted–many schools love international students to add diversity to their campus.

Good luck! :D

Thanks Deblerg, that really helped! :D
