Hi. I am a senior in a US based high school with a 4.38 weighted gpa and a 3.7 unweighted gpa. I have an SAT of 1540 and an ACT of 34. In terms of extracurriculars, I have done research for all four years in local colleges and universities. I am a member of my com sci club school team, a founder of a club, state science fair champion, environmental prize winner, part of the math club, physics club, biology, and chemistry club. I am also a state qualifier for Business Professionals of America. Additionally I have interned ata major aeronautics corporation as a financial analyst. I was a member of the varsity swim team in my freshman year.
I have taken 3 SAT level two tests and the scores are as follows.
Math-800
Physics-750
Biology-780
I understand there is no formula for getting into these colleges, but I would like to know based on these statistics alone, how I fare in the college admissions process for uchicago, John hopkins, Columbia, Vanderbilt, uMich, Berkley, and UCLA.
Thanks!
I am also a member of national honors society.
Once again thanks for your help!
Are you a CA resident? If not, UCB/UCLA offer little financial aid so expect to pay full fees at $65K/year to attend if accepted.
You need to calculate your UC GPA and post your uW, Capped weighted and Fully weighted GPA: https://rogerhub.com/gpa-calculator-uc/
I am not a California resident. Thanks! According to the site you have sent I have an unweighted GPA of 3.81 and a weighted capped of 3.81 as well.
With a capped weighted UC GPA under 4.0, UCLA will be a Reach school even with competitive test scores, EC’s and personal insight essays.
Freshman admit rates for UC GPA of 3.80-4.19 (capped weighted) and not major specific:
UCLA: 11.7%
Your stats and ECs put you in the ballpark for any school. Those on your lists are reaches for everyone. Have match and safeties on your list too!
In the 2018 concordance table, the 1,540 is equivalent to a 35 ACT.
H I didn’t kniw how to use the site sent before. I have an unweighted GPA of 3.81 and a capped GPA at 4.0 and weighted of 4.38.
