I would say slim to none. The unweighted GPA and scores are well below average, and with average/above average stats, the acceptance is still around 4-5% for Columbia and 17% for USC. If I were you, I wouldn’t spend precious time and energy on those schools. I think you have a shot at UNC, and an excellent shot at NCSU and UNCC.
My son got in with an unweighted GPA of 2.8 and an SAT of 1320. He took all honors or high honors classes at a competitive high school. Depending on the level of classes you took and how competitive your high school is, I would say you have a chance for sure.
I definitely know of kids with lower stats who have gotten in. I’d say you’ve got a great shot. Look back through last year’s decision thread and you can see some of those stats. I think that coolguy40 thinks you’re asking about USC-2 (in CA) and Columbia University–both of which are extremely hard to get into! You should be fine for USC-1 (I like to call it that because it was first!) in South Carolina.
I was asking about university of south carolina at columbia.
Unless you’ve been arrested I’d say you have 100% chance of being admitted.
My bad…your chances are really good for USC-Columbia, but it’s out of state. Make sure your parents can afford the tuition bill because it’s going to be very expensive compared to NC.
