What are my chances of getting into a off branch penn state campus like hazleton, Harrisburg, and Altoona? I have a 70 average and got a 1390 on the sat

you will get in they take everyone

Are you sure?

jake5504 is kidding. Typically, you need a 2.7 average and about 1450-1500 on the SAT. So, with a 2.0 and scores in the 450’s, it’s going to be a tough sell. The most requested campuses tend to be those with housing, so stay away from them. Try to figure out which are the smallest or the least requested branch campuses, apply undecided, or just let the system decide for you.

Alright thanks a lot

You may have to take summer courses before they will let you attend. It’s just to see if you are able to handle the course and work load of the university.

Penn State branch: Reach

Catria this is deff not a reach

It IS the exact definition of a reach, amclean: the students who get admitted have a much higher GPA and OP’s test scores don’t even make up for it (whereas PSU admission is 2/3 GPA). Odds are much lower than 50-50.
While PSU branch campus isn’t “a reach for everyone”, it’s absolutely a reach for this applicant, just not a totally impossible reach.
