what are my chances of getting into dartmouth ED, and are the examples of the supplements?

I know there’s not true answer to this question because Ivies are a lottery to some extent, but if anyone can give me any info that would be great.

Thanks for anyone’s input! also if you know of examples of Dartmouth’s supplement essays because I would love to know how anyone has answered them in such a small word count lol

what’s your planned major and what’s your performance like right now in IB?

Wow, that’s a ton of volunteer hours! That will look great on your app.

You’ve got a really interesting mishmash of ECs. Swimming, obviously, is your spike- your swimming accomplishments are awesome.

Is your income closer to 100k or 50k?

As it stands, I think you’ve got good chances.

Your stats are great. If you get above 700 on your subject tests than that is even better.

Your ECs are a little average for the Ivies. Have you tried being recruited by the Dartmouth coach for swimming?

I’m not 100% sure on what major yet, because I really want to study public health and there’s no major for that. Probably something in biology. I have had all A’s in all my IB classes, and my scores for the year (only two of them) were pretty good. My income is closer to 100k. I sadly had to quit competitive swimming because of health issues, which is rough because I was previously being looked at for the team.

I’m hoping the research I’m doing this summer will help boost my ECs, because I’m working with the Jones Institute (which invented a lot of birth controls, as well as inventing IVF) and my mentor is a world famous doctor/researcher. I’m also trying to get the paper I’m working on writing published, possibly in the Dartmouth high school science contest, so that would help a lot lol

Sounds like you have a good plan. Good luck, and get started on those essays!
