Hi,
I want to enroll in pre-med as my bachelor study and medical for M.D.
I live in NC, and prefer a instate college, my choices are limited and I eliminated into 2 final choices.
My top choice is Duke University, and second choice is UNC Chapel Hill.
I'm 1% in my class, 4.0 unweighted GPA, I haven't taken SAT or ACT yet, but estimated scores will be 1990-2200 and 30-33.
I'm not playing any sports but I'm two club's president, key and IT. I'm not in student government.
I've done more 150 hours of recorded volunteer work and more 300 hours of unrecorded volunteer work.
Any suggestions on what I should do to get my chance higher?
Based on my description, is it possible for me to get most of scholarship covered? any chance of full ride??
Btw, I'm a junior.
I know that Duke's acceptance rate is really low, but what is my chance of getting into Duke?

Nobody on here is going to be able to do much more than guess- so I would call and make an appointment at Duke with admissions. Learn about their process, and what they are looking for- which will give you a much more concrete idea of what to strive for in your future.

Best of luck to you!!

^Thanks, I’ve schedule an appointment last week, but it’s about few hours of driving from my house, so I bit concerned. But are there any suggestions on what I should improve in my senior year?

I do not have specific suggestions. Your extra curriculars should not be simply a collection of activities, but things that demonstrate where passions and interests are. You are the person who can best answer that.

You are still early in the process. Waiting a few weeks for an appointment will still give you plenty of time to absorb the information you obtain from your admissions meeting.

You have a decent chance. Duke has to take about 13% from the Carolinas, so that improves your chances drastically.
