What are my chances of getting into FSU (florida state)?
I calculated my gpa according to how FSU does it, so this is not the gpa/hpa that appears on my transcript. Stats below:

3.4 GPA
1200 SAT (1880 with writing)

Treasurer of red cross club, key club (4 years), SNHS member and community involvement organizer, Newspaper Copy Editor, Swim Team 4 years (if i wasnt in a club for four years, i was in it for three

Good Writer, won county newspaper award for student journalism, won red ribbon in world language fair and competition for memorizing and reciting a monoluge in spanish

Applying Early Admission round II

Please tell me what you think my chances are! Experience helps.

GPA is fairly decent, although im sure at the end of senior year it will be 3.5 ish.
1200 SAT is decent as well, but admissions criteria has gotten tougher these past years. You should look to bump your SAT Cr/M to a 1300 then i’d say you are good to go with your extra curriculars. A 1300 SAT will also get you 100% BF.

i have taken the act (sorry forgot to mention) and i got a 25. i will take the SAT again and i have a tudor for math so that should help b/c my reading score was very high compared to my math score. Do you think it would be wise to apply for summer rather than early admission?

Powerful, your original SAT was actually better than your ACT. 25= ( 11301160 ) range on ACT’s concordance.

You should look to focus on your SAT then. Remember that your SAT over the first times or so is your best COMBINED score. So for instance, lets say you made a 700 on your Critical Reading, but a 500 on your math, you can close in on a better score focusing on the math.

I guess things have changed since I went there…graduated 3 years ago. They only took my first test score… so it is good to know that they look at more then that now especially since some have terrible test anxiety!
