AP ush APLand econ and honors pre calc, i plan on taking junior year, not senior

The kids in my kids school (in GA) who got into Tech this year all had AT LEAST AP Calc AB. Make sure that is on your list senior year at a minimum, in my opinion.

All of them (girls) were in TSA, as well. That’s big here in Georgia, as well as FIRST and BEST robotics. Those are looked at highly at Tech. Two of my daughter’s animatronic teammates went to Tech (that’s a TSA activity).

I would have reasonable in-state backups, like Kennesaw State.

If you want to qualify for the Zell or for HOPE, make sure you’re taking qualifying classes. Living in GA for a year isn’t enough-you have to make sure you’ve established residency (and can prove it) and have the classes.

Talk to your guidance counselor as soon as school starts and have them check the courses to ensure eligibility, as well as recommendations on what classes to take to optimize your chances for getting into Tech-the local guidance counselors (if you’re at a good school) are all very familiar with what it takes to get in.
