My sat score total is 960 with my reading being a 510 and my math 450. My high school unweighted GPA is a 3.5.
someone please help
I think that your issue is that there are few people on this web site that know about Kennesaw state.
You can google “Kennesaw state GPA SAT” and find the average scores for incoming students. I just did this and found that your SAT is slightly lower than average for incoming students (but not too far off), and your GPA is higher than average for incoming students. To me this seems pretty hopeful, particularly if you are in-state.
Did you do SAT preparation before taking the test? If not then some preparation (such as SAT classes, which you might find at a local community center, in your high school, or by googling “SAT preparation”) can probably help you pull up your score a bit. However, even without this I think that you have a good chance based on your GPA.
The minimum score for new SAT for ksu is 1030. Should I still apply there.
“The minimum score for new SAT for ksu is 1030.”
You have a 960. I think that you should do more SAT preparation and try to get your score up.
Let’s say hypothetically I did apply with the score I have now will I get rejected? considering being below the minimum score.
Some schools will just straight out reject anyone who is below their minimum SAT. Others will look at your GPA and references and if they are good enough make an exception. You could call the school’s admissions staff and ask. I have found admissions folks to be very helpful at a variety of schools.
However, an improvement of 100 points with SAT preparation is common, and would put you well over the minimum if you could pull this off.
what are my chances in other colleges like Georgia state and West Georgia?
I agree with previous poster. Get the scores up. From what I’ve seen, Georgia schools are tightening admission standards.
i took the sat again and my score is a 990 with my reading 540 and math 450.
I currently attend KSU, and my high school stats were 2.7 gpa, 460 reading and a 510 math. If you havent already, i would say go ahead and apply. Its not a hard school to get into, and your gpa is fairly high. Best wishes
