I just finished my first semester of sophomore year.
So far, my 10-12 A-G GPA weighted is 4.2 (UW 4.0)
my cumulative high school GPA weighted is 3.94 (UW 3.89)
semester GPA weighted is 4.0 (3.8 UW)
I got A’s in all my classes this semester (Spanish 2, Bio, English, Geometry, AP Euro), except a B in Journalism. Since Journalism is not a required A-G class, it is not included in my A-G GPA, which most colleges look at.
Also, I am planning on taking Journalism (student newspaper) for the rest of high school and I will most likely be an editor next year, Im the president/founder of charity club at my school, and I tutor younger kids over the summer.
This summer i’ll be doing an internship in my town government, next year I plan on taking AP US History, AP English Lang, Algebra 2, Spanish 3, Honors Chem, and Journalism 2. Senior year i’ll take Expository Writing, Honors Spanish 4, AP Environmental Science, AP Gov/Macroecon, Pre-Calc, and Journalism 3
Are my chances of getting into NYU good? Also, which GPA does NYU look at (10-12, A-G, Cumulative, Weighted, Unweighted, etc)? Any suggestions on how I can boost my chances?
Thank You
