What are my chances of getting into Texas A&M?

I’m a junior and I have a 3.6 gpa and I’m 151/662 students which is in the top 24%. I got a 162 on my PSAT and a 1650 the first time I took my SAT, but I plan to take it again after taking a prep class. I think I will be able to get it up by at least 200 points. I am in honors choir at school and volunteer regularly at an animal shelter in my city and am the teen leader/organizer at the child care center at my church. I took a total of 5 PAP classes in the past but I am only currently enrolled in one AP class. I am involved in the Spanish club and student council at my school, but I’m not an officer in either. I was also born in Ethiopia and have done some volunteer work there (but it wasn’t with a large organized group). A&M is my #1 choice in schools to go to and I would love some feedback as to what my chances are of getting and and what I can do to improve my chances. Thanks in advance!

If you bring up your SAT score, you will have a strong chance. Your GPA should improve as well, but continue to work hard and I am sure you can do it. Are you an in-state resident of Texas? If so, check out the qualifications necessary for automatic admission. Good luck!

If you bring up your SAT score by 200 points you should have a good shot at an automatic admission. Good luck!
