What are my chances of getting into UCLA ?

Compare your stats with last year’s in-coming Freshman and you can pretty much chance yourself.

It seems I fit the criteria but I’m worried I might not get accepted because of my shortage of extracurriculars, clubs and awards, will I get into UCLA based solely on my GPA and SAT/ACT scores alone?

GPA/Test scores/HS course rigor and essays are considered the most important in the UC’s application review but EC’s will help differentiate you as an applicant from the rest of the applicants along with the essays. No one on CC can give you a definitive answer on your chances since CC posters are not admission officers. Even coming up with a list of possible colleges to apply will depend upon how your stats compare to the averages. All you can do is apply to a wide range of colleges which include Match/Safety and Reach schools so in the end you have many choices.

There are no guarantees in life, so all you can do is your best and hopefully you get in.

Okay is there any way to improve extracurriculars coming into senior year?

Can you afford to go to ucla with no aid, full OOS cost? (Unless you are a California resident)

I am California resident so yes I can afford to go

Very solid chances to get in, especially if your rank is good-15/hundreds is pretty good

@kbj500
You will get in…

I double checked my rank and apparently my conselor said I was 15 last year but am now 55 out of 459 students does this affect my chances of getting in?
