Floridadad,
the SAT is more important in the selction process because it is a universal test where everyone is graded on the same basis. GPA is less important becasue some schools are easier than others, (my friends school gives A’s for an 88%, i got a B for a 89.45% at my school), some schools don’t even go by the 4.0 scale, some have a 6.0 scale, and some have a 100 scale, some schools give extra weight to honors, mine doesn’t. My point is that the gpa of one student may not reflect their acidemic level compared to another student because all schools are differnt, making the gpa different. Everyone takes the SAT or ACt and is graded on the same rules by one company, making the SAT and ACt an accurate representation of a student’s level compared to the rest of the world
