Hi, I am a sophomore from Northern VA looking to pursue the full IB diploma next year. I already take SL math 1 as I am 2 years ahead in math. I maintain straight A’s except for a B in math. I play in my school’s highest level orchestra, have made regional orchestra 4 years in a row, as well as playing ukulele, acoustic and bass guitar (don’t know if this matters). Both my parents went to UVA and we are avid fans of the sports teams there. I swim 8 times a week, as well as being one of the top swimmers on the varsity swim team, making regionals each year and looking to make states. My school is not the smartest nor the highest performing, so it should be a breeze being graduating at the top of the class. I haven’t taken the SAT or the ACT, and I know there is a ton of other information not mentioned that colleges need, but if I graduate with the IB diploma and the same grades, what will my chances be of getting in?
Come back and ask when you have SAT or ACT scores. It’s tough to evaluate someone’s likelihood of admission with that fairly significant piece of information missing.
