Hi! I am applying ED to Virginia Tech, my gpa is currently a 3.865, with an SAT score of 1310. I have legacy and my sister was president of her sorority in her time there (not sure if that even matters anymore). I am captain of the varsity tennis team and JV cheer team, and participate in 3 honor societies, and am secretary of a club and on the chairboard for one of the honor societies.
Legacy does not matter that much. I’d say you have around a 40% chance of getting in. Is it too late to up your sat score? Cheer team is nice but you didn’t do it all four years, consistency is key. Vtech is getting more difficult. As an alumni myself and current member of the admissions board (of undergrads), I’d say to find another school.
