As of now I'm a high school junior. There are lots of schools I'm currently looking at, but W&M is a school I've dreamed about since I was a little girl. I believe I have somewhat of a chance, but I'm not sure how strong that chance is.

I'm a white female from NJ, probably not applying for much financial aid.

I want to major in Gender, Sexuality, and Women's studies. I've been very passionate about equal rights for years and I think that will come across in my application.

Unweighted GPA of 3.86, weighted is about 4.7.

Ranked 45th out of about 750 (top 6% or 7%)

ACT composite score of 29 (studying and retaking in April hoping for a 30+)

SAT score of 1800, CR 620, M 570, W 610 (studying and retaking in May, but at this rate I think I'll just send my ACT scores because they're significantly better and actually fall into the range that's accepted at W&M)

No SAT IIs taken yet, but I do plan on taking a few in June.

Honors classes taken: English I, II, and III; Algebra I, II, and Geometry, US History I and II; Biology and Chemistry

I've also take Spanish I, II, and III

Senior year I'm planning to take: AP Literature, AP European History, Honors Physcis, Pre-Calc (CP only because the honors teachers aren't any good and I'd rather actually learn), Concious of Man (academically-based elective that counts as a history course); TV Production II, and hopefully I'll get into my school's Peer Leadership program, but if not then I'm planning to take Mythology and Minority Literature.

ECs: President of the Gay-Straight Alliance at my school, Rotary Interact, Red Cross, Club Hope, Class Council, History NHS, Science NHS, English NHS, guitar lessons outside of school since before freshman year, community service at various places and with various clubs listed above (I need more hours at the moment but that won't be an issue), I write poetry in my spare time.

I should get very good recommendations from certain teachers that I've established a more personal teacher-student relationship with (my History/Sociology teacher, the teacher that's the adviser of the Gay-Straight Alliance, etc)

So how am I doing? What do you think my chances of getting admitted are?
