What are my chances of Northeastern University and Wake Forest University?

Hi there! I’m graduating high school as a part of the class of 2016, and Northeastern University and Wake Forest University are definitely my top choices so far. Could someone evaluate my stats and consider what my chances of acceptance are to both schools?

-GPA (on a 5.0 scale): 3.83 UW/4.27 W
-SAT: 1980 (680 Writing, 670 Reading, 630 Math), but I took the June test and I’m feel confident that I broke 2000
-ECs: vice president of International Thespian Society, event coordinator of Spanish Honor Society, yearbook editor, student ambassadors, peer leaders, social justice club, student government association
-work experience: culinary assistant at a cooking studio, camp counselor at YMCA
-recommendations/essays aren’t completed yet
-additional info: my dad is a Northeastern alumni

I have very similar stats, only lower gpa and higher SAT. I’m considering Wake Forest very seriously. I’ve done a lot of research and I think with your 1980 SAT you should choose one of those schools and apply Early Decision. That would almost guarantee acceptance to whichever one you choose.

I’m worried about my SAT score for Northeastern though. It seems low, even compared to a lot of kids with higher test scores who were rejected.

-AP Bio
-AP Psych
-AP Spanish
-SUPA English (Syracuse University’s english class)
-Calculus
-Creative Writing
