I recently started going to school in the fall of 2014. Overall I had a difficult experience trying to keep up with my grades. I work with my father part-time, part-time athlete, and a full time student (I think you guys can see a bit of time management issue there). This spring semester is coming to an end and I had it way worse then my last semester. I withdrew one class and I am not doing so well on the other 3 classes. I can’t stand to look at the grades that I have from my last semester. I know I can do BETTER. I feel that just because I did not do well on the first two semester on CC, means I cannot handle college level work. I think my chances are not over but postponed. What type of advice can you guys give me in my situation? Or, if you were in my position, what would you do?
By “did not do well” what do you mean in terms of courses and grades? What major(s) and campus(es) are you considering?
Note that if you complete your major’s prerequisites, CSU general education or IGETC, and 60 semester or 90 quarter units with a 2.0 GPA or higher, you will be admitted to a non-impacted major at a non-impacted CSU campus (or if your local CSU campus admits local area applicants at baseline eligibility). However, most CSU campuses are impacted, so they will have higher GPA thresholds than 2.0.
Need specifics such as college GPA, major and which CSU’s you are targeting.
