I’d appreciate comments on what my chances of transferring to another UC school is.
I’m currently an out-of-state freshman student who’s majoring in computer engineering at UCR.

Schools I plan on applying to transfer to:
-L.A. (first choice)
-Berkeley (second choice)
-San Diego (third choice)
-Irvine
-Davis

Some aspirations of mine:
-become a leader and servant of the world
-pioneer in computer science
-become a professional researcher
-either double-major in computer engineering and physics, or computer engineering and applied math
-work part-time at a big computer company (preferably Google)
-travel around the world and learn about different cultures
===============================================================
My main interest: computational physics (a mix of computer science, physics, and mathematics)
===============================================================
Extracurricular activities (in college):
-engineering researcher at the Technology Evolution Center (TEC)
-Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) club member
-Materials Research Society (MRS) outreach chair
===============================================================
Extracurricular activities (outside college):
-Independent programming projects
-Learning programming languages from Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs)
-Learning Japanese (reading, writing, and speaking)
-Learning French
===============================================================
Service work:
-I am working with a social development non-government agency who’s vision is to improve the quality of family and community life among Filipino children and their families
===============================================================
Other interesting things about me:
-I enjoy interacting with and helping STEM majors because I feel that the best way to contribute to the scientific community and help the world is through sharing knowledge and teamwork.
-I did not have any programming experience prior to entering college because I was originally a biomedical science student in high school who was looking into neuroscience and bioengineering as my major.
-I chose computer engineering as my major because I want to create projects that can simultaneously help people anytime and anywhere.
-I’m hungry for knowledge. (my professors can attest to how I ask them a butt-load of questions)
===============================================================
Things I plan on doing in the near future:
-take summer courses
-hackathons (programming competitions)
-officially start my Technology Business Association club (it’s been in the workings since last quarter)
===============================================================
My GPA started off low because of these reasons:
-sudden family health issues (I’m taking care of my family in California for the sake of my family back in the east coast)
-a poor choice in breadth course (Comparative Politics, which is usually taken by junior students)
-learning computer science for the first time
-attending to a sudden family emergency (I turned one assignment for English during the winter quarter, and it was counted late by my professor even though I told him about the emergency)

I don’t know if transfer admissions will look at my high school background, but I’ll post it here anyways:
-unweighted GPA: 3.94
-weighted GPA: 4.31
-SAT: 1860
-did not take any AP courses (since my high school only offered AP History and English, which I wasn’t interested in)
-took a lot of science courses (forensic science, biomedical science, chemistry, biology)
-behind in math (when I was a senior, I was studying pre-calculus while everyone else in my graduating class was studying statistics)
-a lot of volunteer work (tutoring, donations, fundraisers, …)
