@jin2daj -- they cleared your C? nice. im still scurrred...

ahh i almost got a D in Calc 3...but i ended up with a C im so happy...now i dont have to worry about UCLA rescinding me...(BTW im not a transfer...just a freshman)

do u think they would bargain? im debating asking them what would happen in the not so unlikely scenario i get less than a C....

There's no way you will get rescinded. Just pass your classes and hold onto that B average... look at it this way, they admitted you based on your previous accomplishments, they don't care what you get now, just don't fail and they won't even pay attention to your grades this semester.

any word Amazing?

my friend got her admission rescinded. she's writing an appeal to them. i don't know how it's supposed to turn out, i hope for the best.

but the appeal is a generic appeal, as if you got rejected the first time and didn't get in.

Update to the original question

I ended up studying my ass off and getting a B in the class. So no C's or worries for me. But to anyone still wondering, this is what the admissions office emailed me:

You do not have to report to us if you receive one “C” grade. As long as your GPA is not falling significantly, your admission status should not be affected.

Sincerely,

UCLA Undergraduate Admissions and Relations with Schools

whats considered to be a major drop anyways?

I'm just curious. Don't get an C,D, F as in for final grade or for a quarter or for a semester? Because I just BOMBED calc for a quarter. My final grade will either be a B or a C. But my grades in that class are like this:

A-, B+, B, F. Yea. Bad. But the final grade is a B- (including midterms and finals)

All my other classes are straight A-'s (quarter and final grades).... What do you think? =

And my college is Cornell... >.<

My GPA is a 3.8, but my school doesn't change GPAs to include senior year stuff. Our school is too big.... =\

I'm like mad scared. I didn't just drop. I PLUMMETED.

Any ideas?
