I am currently a Senior and I am very desperate to get into cal poly san luis obispo for electrical engineering. I am White/Mexican I have three years of chinese language, and want to minor in it. As well as an overall (soph and junior) gpa of 3.66 (not counting only academic, and is weighted), my ACT is 29 overall, SAT is 1850, also have math 2 and chemistry subject tests 700 and 650. I had two years of job shadowing, and a year of a full time job over summer. I am also planning to enter the honors program if I get accepted. I am in state, and want to apply for early decision, should I? I AM VERY INTERESTED IN THIS SCHOOL. I really want to get in but I do want the truth whether I will or will not get accepted. By the way, I heard that CP SLO doesn't care about clubs/community service hours, so I haven't posted it.

EC’s only count for about 10% on your application at SLO. That being said, the school of Engineering is the most competitive school for acceptance. You need to calculate your CSU GPA using your 9th grades also (only for SLO):
<a href=“Cal State Apply | CSU”>Cal State Apply | CSU;
Last years Freshman profile shows that the average GPA was 4.12 and SAT (Math+CR) was 1406 and ACT of 32.

Being Mexican carries no weight for admissions to California schools due to affirmative action.
Your Stats are below the average but having job hours will help. SLO uses a alogrithm of bonus points in their admission process, see link: http://digitalcommons.calpoly.edu/cgi/viewcontent.cgi?article=1014&context=statsp&sei-redir=1&referer=http%3A%2F%2Fsearch.yahoo.com%2Fsearch%3Fp%3Dcal%2Bpoly%2Bslo%2Bmca%26fr%3Dipad#search=“cal%20poly%20slo%20mca”

SLO: Reach
