<p>The reason my GPA was low in 9th grade because my dad died in 8th grade (middle/end) and I had trouble adjusting. My dad had a PhD in Biostatistics, and helped me a lot in math.</p>
<p>GPA was low (2.6 UW, 2.9 Weighted) freshman year, and was a solid 3.4 unweighted (3.6 weighted) sophomore year, currently a 4.0 unweighted/95% weighted (4.1-4.2?) this junior year.</p>
<p>EC:</p>
<ul>
<li>Own, manage, and run a registered C-Corporation for around 2 years, soley pay taxes (I don't hire an accountant), have a good knowledge of technology and basic economics</li>
<li>200+ hours community service (so far), mainly at a local Hospital with patient transportation and medicine transportation</li>
<li>Tennis team, private lessons for ~1 year (1 year)</li>
<li>Drums (2 years)</li>
</ul>
<p>Race: South Asian (Indian), but natural born US Citizen</p>
<p>I am planning to take some SATII subject level tests - Math (I and II), History, English (probably), and History. These will be during ~May. I should do fine on these. I am strong in Math; taking the highest level course available to my grade with an 88% unweighted so far and going up.</p>
<p>Planned major: Pre-Med, Engineering, Business/Business Administration - to MBA, or biostatistics --- not sure yet. I am leaning towards a clinical research MD or Biostatistics.</p>
