What are my chances to get into a UC / Cal Poly Pomona?

Hi guys! so I am an Asian who will graduate in 2015. I pretty much screwed up my 10th grade year with 4 As in English, Mandarin2, PE, and Art for both semesters. I got a C- for Algebra 2 Honors first semester, and a D+ second semester. Biology Honors I got B's both semesters. I made up the D+ for an A+ in the summer. My junior year i got 4 As in Trig CP, US History, Physics, and Mandarin 3H. I got a B in AP English and AP Studio art. Second semester I worked super hard and got straight A's. This year I am currently taking Stats, ERWC, Mandarin 4H, AP Psych, gov/econ, and Anatomy H. I am doing pretty ok so far, having 5 A's and a B in Government, but I will hopefully end up to get straight A's by the end of the semester. My SAT scores are not very high but I have studied and practiced and I am going to take it again. Currently my scores are 510 in CrRdg, 550 in Math, and 480 in writing. I want to become a chemical engineer because, after researching what they do, I find it so interesting and I am so motivated to do what ever it takes. So my questions are: What do I need on my SAT to have a chance to get into UCSD, UCI, UCR, UCD, or Cal Poly Pomona? And What do you think, based on my current situation, are my chances to even be considered? I do key club, tennis, volunteer at the Pomona Hospital, and I spend a lot of time painting / sketching for my extracurricular activities.

PS: My overall GPA weighted from 10-12 is 3.8, and unweighted is 3.7

For UC’s and Cal States you need to calculate your UC/CSU GPA, see link: <a href=“GPA Calculator for the University of California – RogerHub”>http://rogerhub.com/gpa-calculator-uc/

For UCSD, you need to aim for an SAT of 2100+ and a UC/CSU GPA of 4.0+
For UCD/UCI, aim for an SAT of 2000+ and UC/CSU GPA of 4.0+
For UCR, aim for an SAT of 1700+ and UC/CSU GPA of 3.8+
For CPP, aim for an SAT of 1700+ and UC/CSU GPA of 3.6+

Until you retake the SAT, CPP and UCR would be the only 2 schools that you have a chance at an acceptance.

Depending on your major, your gpa requirements can vary. Best advice is to go on each of the college/universities website you want to attend and look for admission requirements and compare them all. And when it comes to applying to the schools, just apply wherever you want. It can’t hurt you and you never know what places might accept you

can i get into ucr with an unweighted gpa of 3.0 with an sat of 1730?
