What are my chances to top school?

<p>I am concerned that I am not good enough for the top school in US (I live in China.......)
Anyway following is my stat and background. Ill be grateful for any advice or comment. </p>

Parents: Both extremely strict professors
Lived in US for 4 years
Siblings: Have one younger brother</p>

SAT: 2290 (690, 800, 800) Thinking to retake it.

<p>Your list is well balanced, but your categories seem off… For instance, I don’t understand why you put Maryland, Minnesota, and Wiscosin in match while William and Mary and GW in safety. If anything, I would choose the reverse. In adition Vanderbilt is difficult to gt into, so I’d put that in a reach category.</p>

<p>Are finances an issue? Those schools you mentioned may not offer a huge amount of aid to internationals, so look for ones that do or offer metit based aid, which you should be able to gain due to your strong stats.</p>
