What are my chances to transfer to UCD?

So I did a terrible job this spring and received a D in physiology and went from a 3.08 overall GPA to a 2.33. Obviously I will retake that class and aim for the A which should take the D's place instead. I will also be striving and putting in all the necessary effort into earning at the minimum of 3.3 while the max I could receive in a total of 66 transferable units is 3.5. Having said this, applications begin in the fall but I won't have that calculated GPA until the end of spring 2013. Suppose my personal statement is outstanding, realisticly, what are my chances? Assuming of course, I fulfill my goal of straight As.
My schedule for fall is as followed:
Chem 2A
English 1B
History 17B
History 4A
Bio 35 (Physiology - RETAKE)
Bio 32
21 Units

Spring:
Math 1B
Chem 2B
Polysci 1
Art 16
16 Units

Desired major: Biology

Honestly, thats a tough major. It’s not looking too good… but work hard and anything can happen. Just FYI though, even if you retake a class, it doesn’t completely just replace your previous grade, they still use it to calculate i think. If you get straight A’s though, your chances wouldn’t be too bad so work HARD!!

ravorg is wrong. UCs do replace your failed grade with the new one. They do not calculate the old grade into your GPA. With that said, you will need to make up that class this Summer or Fall in order for UCs to see your new grade when they evaluate you for admission. If you take it after that, they will not see it until they have already made a decision. So if you’re going to apply this year, make sure you take this Summer or Fall, or it won’t make much of a difference.
