USC - match
UCLA - match
Georgetown NHS - not sure
UC Berkeley - match
Stanford - reach
NYU - low match
Tufts - low match
Santa Clara (backup) - safety
Princeton - reach
Brown - reach
Yale - reach

Good GPA. Test scores are a little on the weak end, but your course rigor makes up for it.

Princeton,Brown,Yale,Stanford - Reach

No surprise here, these schools are a reach for everybody so don’t take it too hard. Your stats are in the right area for these schools, but I would be a little concerned about the SAT 2’s. They’re a bit low and could use some work if you have the time.

Georgetown NHS - Low reach

Not particularly sure of the difficulty of NHS, so I’ll just use regular GU. Georgetown wants 3 subject tests iirc. You should look into it and sign up. Also, I believe every applicant is interviewed so prepare for that as well.

UCLA, Berkeley, USC, NYU, Tufts - Match

SAT 2’s don’t matter that much for the UC’s, but I’m not sure about USC/NYU. You look solid for the latter regardless. GPA/ACT/Rigor are all excellent in terms of these schools. You should be fine. Berkeley might a BIT random though. I know of someone who got into Harvard and Williams but not Berkeley.

Santa Clara - Safety
Yeah, you already know.

My only suggestions are to take the subject tests if you can. If you’re a bio major, it’d probably help to show that you’re good at bio doing well on the bio exam (I’m in the same spot only with M2). EC’s are decent, but not amazing for the top schools, so if you have time to work towards that it’s a possibility

Thank you so much! Yeah I have my interview for Georgetown next week, hopefully it goes well. USC and UCLA are my top schools, so I really hope I can make it into there. I am taking more sat subject tests. Anyways, thank you for your input! @bonsly‌

I would say you have a really good shot at both UCLA and USC! I think NYU sort of depends on which school you apply to. As for the Ivies, based on your test scores those are probably reaches, but you never know if you don’t apply! Good luck!

Sat 2s… everything else looks good. I second everybody above me. Btw, I know someone who got into either cornell or dartmouth and Stanford, but not Berkeley. Hm. At the same time know a guy with no hooks and barely any ecs, and 1700s sat who got into Berkeley for bio engineering or something. Who knows…

Bump

USC - Safety
UCLA - Target
Georgetown NHS - Target
UC Berkeley - Safety
Stanford - low reach
NYU - target
Tufts - high target
Santa Clara (backup) - safety
Princeton - reach
Brown - low reach

Excellent GPA and I don’t why he said your test scores are weak because a 34 equals like a 2300 on the SAT so good job on that! And great strength of curriculum and ECs. Good luck!

if you chance me, i chance back!!

Ok, although I promised 15 sentences in my thread, I already wrote 30+ sentences for the other people that replied, so I’m tired and will type a shorter response. If i were you, I would retake the SAT again, because 2100 is the popular standard that people in general believe is needed for Ivy League schools. Or you can just leave it out, as you stated. Your GPA, both weighted and unweighted is god-like, so I’m not even going to say anything else about it. Actually, you’re pretty much guaranteed to be accepted in all the non ivy league schools on your list. For ivy leagues, they’re definitely in your reach, though there’s still a chance that they’ll deny you. To further help prevent that, you should add to the quantity of your EC list, since it seems a bit short, however great its quality is.

USC - match
UCLA - match
Georgetown NHS - no idea
UC Berkeley - match
Stanford - reach
NYU - match
Tufts - no idea
Santa Clara (backup) - safe
Princeton - reach
Brown - reach
Yale - reach

You have pretty good stats  wish you the best luck. And thanks for chancing me

USC- High match
UCLA- High match
Georgetwon - Reach
UCB- Low Reach
Stanford- Reach
NYU- High match
Tufts- Low reach
Santa Clara- Safe
Princeton, Brown, Yale - Reach.

I have no idea why anyone would put UCB as a match for anyone. They receive perfect SAT and GPAs every year. You never know who they’ll accept.

Chance me? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1690007-claremont-mckenna-duke-bucknell-grinnell-uofr-chances.html

USC - High Match
UCLA - HIgh Match
Georgetown NHS - Low Reah
UC Berkeley - High Match
Stanford - Reach
NYU - Match
Tufts - Match
Santa Clara (backup) - Safety
Princeton - Reach

USC- match
UCLA- match
Georgetown NHS- ??
UC Berkeley-low reach
Stanford- high reach
NYU- low match
Tufts- low match
Santa Clara (backup)
Princeton- reach
Brown- reach
Yale- reach

I think your ACT is good enough to avoid the SAT altogether. It also depends on ED/EA and what you’re looking to study.
Good luck!

USC - high match (very scores driven, work on boosting your SAT 2s!)
UCLA - match (you’re a very compelling candidate)
Georgetown NHS - low reach (Georgetown requires, or strongly suggests, three SAT 2s, so get one more and bulk up your other two)
UC Berkeley - high match/low reach
Stanford - reach (The odds are so impossibly difficult, I think you would need to develop your ECs a little more and make your essays really shine to get in here)
NYU - match
Tufts - high match
Santa Clara (backup) - safety
Princeton - reach
Brown - reach
Yale - reach
Thanks for chancing me!

bumppp

I agree with the consensus for the most part. You have a good resume and great GPA. Maybe could improve the test scores but they are similar to mine so i cant talk. I really like your chnces and UC schools. Are you considering other liberal ats schools besides Tufts? Can you guys chance me?

@jmbakh not really, MAYBE reed college, but other than the schools i have on my list, no other liberal arts schools. Sure!

bump bump bump :)
