What are my chances with the United States Service Academies?

Hello all,
I am interested in attending one of the United States Service academies (preferably West Point, the Naval Academy, or the Air Force Academy). I was wondering if any of you could give some insight on my chances of admission… I am a junior in high school currently

Academically
4.0 unweighted gpa
4.5 weighted gpa (I attend a Christian school so some of my bible classes hurt my gpa)
34 ACT
1530 SAT
Will graduate with 13 APs and all honors for the rest except for 1

Extracurricular
4 years hs baseball (3 years varsity)
4 years of travel baseball on highly competitive team in the summer
1 year cross country
2 years basketball
Work at my dads company in my spare time during the summer

Service/ Clubs
Missions Outreach Club
1 year beta club
2 years NHS
2 years of participation in a mentorship initiative at my school for incoming freshmen (leader of the organization my senior year)
National Spanish Honor Society Secretary

Thanks for all responses! Any constructive feedback is appreciated

Definitely competitive. Are you fit? I know USNA and USMA offer summer programs but as a junior, you missed the deadline. Talk to a Blue and Gold officer for USNA and equivalents for the other. Keep up your studies and sports and make sure you have a back-up. If you really want to be military. - which is imperative - then apply for ROTC at the same time as your service academy application(s). Geography does matter but shouldn’t discourage you. It’s easier to get in USNA from North Dakota than it is from MD or VA due to number of applicants from each state.

I am in good athletic shape due to my sports and gym time. In regards to summer programs, I know I missed the deadline for SLE and other programs but it was because of my competitive summer travel baseball season. I have some back up options but the experience from the service academies is invaluable to me. Also just to note, I am from Georgia so I think I am in a pretty competitive area.

In my opinion, you are certainly competitive. However, you need to start working on nominations and begin your candidate questionnaire right now. Right now, there are hundreds, maybe even thousands of kids who have already opened their applications.

Your academic scores are certainly really great. It will also be to your advantage if you have taken calculus, economics, government, chemistry, and physics. Also, West Point requires two years of a language.

You might try to gain some more leadership positions, such as president of your NHS chapter. Sadly, it’s too late for you to try for Boy’s State.

You do seem like a competitive applicant to me, but your one downfall might be your late start. If you are going to apply, you need to go to the West Point website and open a candidate file right now.

Good luck!
