<p>jjordan0005, I think your GPA is still low for Stanford, UC Berkeley, UPenn, and UMich, and the ACT retake, if you do get somewhere in that range you predicted, will still be low for those schools. Keeping a job and sports is impressive, but not unusual for the Ivies and UMich. That’s my reasoning.
Stanford: high reach
UC Berkeley: reach to high reach (ACT is too low; they don’t consider freshman grades so you have a slightly higher GPA, but not that much higher, so that also hurts you)
UPenn: high reach
UMich: high reach
NYU: low reach (get that ACT up to a 30, keep up your grades, and it’ll be a high match)
