What are my chances???

Hiiiii, I am currently a junior at a high school in New Jersey and was wondering what my chances are in getting into my dream schools...

I've played rec soccer for 4 years.
Volunteer at a Sunday school every week, at a nursing home, have volunteered at a Color me Rad race, volunteering at my doctors office (starting in June- planning on turning into an internship), and I work at a preschool every Friday.

PSAT: 1700
SAT: haven't taken yet
ACT: haven't taken yet

I want to go Pre Med (interested in being a pediatrician), somewhat into business but mostly med.

Dream Schools: Boston U, UCLA, Northeastern, U Chicago, USC, NYU

what are my chances and is there anything I can do to improve them?

How have you done in your classes (GPA)?

Without hard numbers, it is impossible to tell, but if your SATs are on par with your PSAT, UCLA and UChicago are out of reach, for example.

I agree with bodangles. But no matter what your grades are, I would say UChicago is a reach, just because it’s pretty difficult for just about anyone…

Sorry, completely forgot about gpa. Weighted gpa is a 3.7, not sure about unweighted. I’m taking my first SAT in May and shooting for a 1900.

Do you think there is anything specifically I can do to up my chances? Thank you for your responses!

If weighted is 3.7, unweighted is probably less, maybe a 3.0, 3.2? Can anybody offer a better guess?

Get your GPA higher and get a higher SAT score than 1900 (2100+), for those schools. Otherwise, apply to more matches and safeties than reaches.

@bodangles okay, I’m gonna try my best. Thank you for your input!
