What are my chances?

Hi, I’m currently coming up with a college list for the upcoming year.

I’m a female Californian who is currently a senior in a good public school.

SAT: 1490 but a 15 on the essay
ACT: n/a

Unweighted GPA: 4.0
Weighted Total GPA: 4.1667
Class Rank: 26 out of 426 (Top 10%)

APs: Lang and Psych but I’m planning on taking Cal AB/BC and Macro senior year

ECs:
VP of Interact Club
Member of California Scholarship Federation
Link Crew Leader for 2 years
HOSA member
100+ hours internship at a hospital
I’m also part of a 3-year medical-based curriculum at my high school where I get hospital internships/education

My current list of colleges is:
University of Nevada, Reno (BS in Community Health)
San Jose State University (BS in Nutrition Science)
Boise State University (BS in Public Health)
UC Irvine (BS in Public Health Sciences)
UC Davis (BS in Nutrition Sciences or BS in Global Disease Biology)
Chico State (BS in Health Science)
Sac State (BS in Health Science)

My main goal is to either go to med school or a physician’s assistant program.

I don’t know if I should take the SAT w/ Essay again because my essay score is low, but the UCs are the only schools that need the essay, and my SAT score is good enough for most of the schools. Is it worth it?

Also, are there any other colleges I should look into? I’m trying to stay in the California, WUE region if possible.

UC GPA (capped weighted): https://rogerhub.com/gpa-calculator-uc/

You have competitive stats for all the schools on your list. I would add Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and/or San Diego State (good pre-professional advising center) and maybe some of the top UC’s like UCSD/UCLA or UCB unless you are trying to protect your GPA.

I do not think it is worth you time to retake the SAT just for the essay. Show the UC’s that you are a competent writer by nailing your personal insight essays instead.

Best of luck

Your stats are great! I don’t think you’ll have a problem getting into any of the schools on your list. I agree, add CalPolySLO and UCSD if you feel comfortable

you will almost certainly be admitted to all of the schools on your list.

Great work so far and enjoy Sr year!
