<p>Some admittedly do discriminate against OOS...others like UDel, do not explicitly state they do but may well do anyway. You would think that they would welcome OOS kids...generate more $$$. Then again, some of the local state residents may complain if too many OOS kids are admitted... Complicated world I guess</p>
<p>My friend got in with almost same GPA and SAT 1750 last year
he was OOS (New Hampshire) but he went to UNH because Umass didn't offer any scholorship</p>
<p>I don't know, your gpa might be a little low. Sat's are good.
With the recent economic crisis, more people are going to want to go to cheap state schools, and with UMass being one of the best.....make your college essay very good</p>
<p>I applied early action, I have around a 3.2, 1800 SATs, good ECs (professional theatre.. i dont know if that will help me)..
