Question: Was wondering if my grades aren't qualified to be accepted, would I have a chance at possibly being accepted in for summer 2009 or CAPping?

No to admission in your 2 majors of choice, No to Summer program, yes to Cap. Rank and Standardized tests are simply too low.

I agree with the above poster. You really don't have a shot at Business or Engineering. In fact, due to your low rank and low(ish) test scores, you probably don't have a shot at the Summer Program either. You will be CAPed

I assume you are from fort bend because of the gpa scale
If you go to clements, they might excuse you for your rank, but at any other school, you will not receive too much consideration

I would probably say CAP but there is still a chance for the summer program
good luck!

^ yup.
Clements.

Thanks for your replies.

we'll see how things go..

Clements is about as much as a feeder school as my high school was, so I think I can say they do allow for a certain amount of lenience on the rank, but 37% is out of range I think, without the test scores to back it up anyways.

I agree with above posters, if you were in the top 25%, you would have a shot at summer, but 37% is too low.

Business stops at around 3 or 4%, engineering stops in the high range too (not sure exactly, but I'm betting you have to be in the top 10% unless your scores are through the roof.

CAP is not bad, coming from a great hs, you won't have any problem making the 3.0 or whatever it is.

I used to go to Clements, but transferred because of the situation w/ top 10 percent crap.

Great EC's, but test scores, GPA and rank (probably most important for UT Austin) kill your app.

I say you have no chance for normal admission (and this is probably because of the high school you went to). I would apply out of state if I were you...
