what are my chances?

I think my weighted gpa was a little over 4.0
Class Rank: top 20%
SAT: Reading - 630, Math - 740, Writing - 680
EC: nothing great; just a lot of tennis (USTA/school), some clubs, and charity works
Classes: i'll be graduating with 10 AP classes and about 10 GT classes
Major: I want to major in computer engineering</p>

<p>I'm especially worried because of my low GPA and my low reading score. Also, I don't feel too confident about one of the essays I have written (I'm hoping the essays don't have a huge influence over the decision making progress). My counsler and my teacher expressed doubt, especially since the engineering program at college park is rigorous. What would you say my chances are?</p>

<p>Cool I applied for computer engineering too. Since you don’t specify, I’m going to chance you that you are not a URM or anything. I say it is kind of close but I think you could get in. Unfortunately it may come down to your essays but my thought is that your AP classes help balance that out. Good Luck!</p>

<p>Assuming you are from Maryland, I think you will be accepted, but your uw GPA may be low enough to have you accepted into Letters and Sciences, and not directly into Engineering…you are against some stiff competition.</p>
