I like most of what I have accomplished in high school, but not taking clubs and other extracurricular activities too seriously (2-3 a year) is intimidating me a bit. I understand that colleges aren't only looking for "book worms" and also prefer to focus on extracurriculars. Anyone have an idea of how this would present itself to colleges, and which colleges would be interested within Illinois and surrounding states? Thanks you!

I would like to major in Biology or Chemistry to pursue a career in a medical field. I don’t mind traveling out of Illinois to surrounding states, as well as to California and Texas. Any colleges come to mind?

@dyiu- I did try it, but the results were a little too broad since they focused mostly on college life (unless Harvard and Yale are yearning for this transcript XD )

One thing that might be appealing to a Bears fan is this:

When the Bears are playing the Packers in Green Bay, they actually stay at the Paper Valley Hotel in Appleton.

I have grandparents in Appleton and we were having dinner at the hotel and ran into Dave Duerson, Neal Anderson and Singletary. Though I was a young boy and hated the Bears already (growing up in Wisconsin…), I thanked them for their autographs.
