What are my sisters chances

My sister thinks that it is super easy to get into an Ivy League. She wants to go to Stanford and Uchicago. She won't listen to me when I say it's hard.

She's a sophomore. How is she doing?

Freshman Year:
Spanish 1 (A)
Foods for a Healthy Lifestyle (A)
Geometry (B)
Honors English 9 (A)
Child Development (A)
Honors World History (A-)
Biology (A)

Sophomore:
Spanish 2 (currently B+)
Art (B)
Algebra 2 (A)
Honors English (A-)
Gourmet Foods (A-)
Physical Science (A)
APHuman Geo (B+)

She is in no clubs and is going to take the easiest math and science classes (if any at all)

Stanford: Reach
UChicago: Reach
Ivy Leagues: Reach

It is definitely going to be hard if she takes all the easiest courses offered in her school and has barely any EC’s.

Tell your sister to check out this website with people who have Ivy League schools as reaches, then she’ll realize how hard it is.

If she keeps up her average grades (as far as an ivy applicant goes), and has little to no involvement within her school and community, she can kiss those dreams goodbye.

Show her the 2017 desicions thread for Stanford and UChicago. No clubs at all, and she thinks she stands a chance? Please.

Just tell her to keep trying her hardest. She’ll never get in but don’t let her knowing that stop her from trying to do her best to reach towards those schools.

If she barely misses the home run then at least she’ll hit a triple.
