karan89,

smart man!
ur in all since ur instate and rank #2 in ur class, although berkeley could be shakey.

I wasn't sure if I should have mentioned #2 in the post. How will UC's even be able to tell what my rank is? Don't you only send your transcript after acceptance around May/June or so? How will they know what my class rank is?

UCs don't use rank as a metric for admission.

What about your high school GPA and grades? Don't they take those into consideration? Then how are they going to know what those are unless they have my transcript?

Anyone else?

your counselors send your transcript. the UC's know which schools are difficult/competitive especially in California. Arcadia, Vista, etc schools that send 50-100 kids to both LA and CAL sends a fairly clear message that the UC's know what is going on in the HS' and the difficulty of each one. UCLAri has probably given you the best chances. if you want more chances, post in the UCLA, CAL forums, but you will get teh same chances that Ari told u.

When will my counselors send my transcript (And how do they know which schools to send them to and everything?)? On the UC website it says that you only have to send your transcript by June after you've been accepted; nothing about mid-year reports or anything.

Azure326:
