What are options with 2.7gpa and 26 ACT?

I'm in my first semester of my sophmore year in college right now and am looking to transfer. My gpa in high school was 2.7 and is about that right now if not a little higher. My ACT was 26. What options seem like reasonable ones? As far as bigger-middle sized schools go? Please let me know of any schools you can think of, and if possible somewhere in the midwest (but it doesn't have to be!) Thanks!

Fortunately your ACT probably won't matter when you transfer as a junior. You could try one of your state schools, not the flagship university because it probably has higher transfer GPA requirements. Depending on your state of residence, a non-flagship university in a neighboring state might be a possibility for in-state tuition. In terms of offering you suggestions, your major matters, as does the caliber of the school from which you want to transfer; a 2.7 GPA from some schools is better than a 2/.7 GPA from other schools. The quality of your recommendations and your reason for transferring will also be an issue.
