<p>The subject tests are tests given by Collegeboard to show that you are proficient in a subject.</p>
<p>(Basic Definition)</p>
<p>Only a few (usually top) schools require them, but most colleges will allow you submit them. You can take up to three at one time. All the tests are in the same book, so you register for one, two, or three tests and then you can choose whatever ones you want to take when you get there (at least that was how it worked when I took them last year).</p>
