Well, the title is pretty self-explanatory.
As I said, what are some TOP Private/State Colleges that ignore the freshman year (in general or GPA. Either ways.)

My GPA for Sophomore year and up is 4.0.. but my freshman year GPA is 2.9 or so D:

Thanks!

thanks! any other good colleges??

All the UC’s, so Berkeley, UCLA, UCSD, Santa Barbara, etc.

Berkeley ignores the freshman year GPA?? I thought they ignored it only when they were calculating the UC GPA… therefore when determining if you’re able to apply.

@d122002: Correct me if I am wrong, but I thought that UC Berkeley calculates a 10-12 GPA independently of your transcript and uses that both for qualifying and admitting the applicant. No schools completely ignore your freshmen year, they will just take your grade increase into consideration and count it to a lesser degree.

Just my two cents. Hope this helps!

Do any of the Florida state schools discount the Freshman year?
