What are some good party schools that I could get into?

Stanford? lol…

PaulyD is awesome ;)

If you’re looking for top academics and good party schools, I can only think of Dartmouth. Maybe Duke too I guess, but I hear they eliminated tailgating…lol.

Penn is the “social Ivy” so try that out. Stanford has big sports. Idk how the part scene is at Stanford though…
Try public schools. They’re better at partying. ;)

Liberty University.

Just kidding.

???

Dont even worry about the party situation. Just look for a college or in my case a university that fits your needs. If you don’t have the money just wait and work until you do. No point in wasting money on a college you kind of want to go to.

???

Consider taking a gap year; this party phase might pass if you’re lucky.

thanks guys. anywhere else you can think of?

So if you want some real party schools (sorry, but Dartmouth and Harvey Mudd don’t cut it compared to the schools I’m going to list below), check out these schools that have good academics and are consistently ranked among Playboy’s top party colleges:

University of Texas (Austin)
University of Georgia
University of Florida
University of Wisconsin
UCSB
University of Miami
Vanderbilt University

Other good party schools with less prestigious academic reputations:

Arizona State
University of Arizona
San Diego State
Ohio University
Florida State
University of Tennessee (or pretty much every other SEC school)
Indiana University
University of Iowa
Penn State

BC is a huge drinking school

University of Texas (austin). extremely good connections from going there, plus you look like a guaranteed accpetance. its one of those schools that attending will give you a HUGE network of well educated individuals. excepting California / northeastern state schools (umass etc) i would say that UT is probably the best state school in america, along with georgia - also a big party school but very good education! another pretty sure acceptance for you.
Do you want to go north or south?
Tulane is in New Orleans AKA so fun so that would be a good backup for you
UMiami is in the biggest party city in America so its a guaranteed good time… backup

USC might be a tiny bit of a reach for you (not guaranteed to get in) but is the ultimate party school… great great city, downtown (clubs!) location, plus great academics. oh and amazing weather!

Vandy is the same -ish as USC for acceptances and a very well known school so that might also be fun. big Greek life there.

Keep in mind that like literally every single school in america is a party school… even at harvard they party pretty hard!! sooo searching for an exceptional party school would lead you to like Bama or old miss… not the most prestigious. just aim for a school in a big city, because that is where all the clubs / concerts will be, thats why USC is so great!

Really look into Union College…

thanks guys

BC and Trinity tend to be options for kids that have Dartmouth as a reach. New England, lots of on campus parties, both Trinity are Dartmouth are pretty isolated which leads to lots of parties.

I think you need to further refine “party school.” Do you want a place where kids are high all the time and never go to class? Do you want a work-hard-during-the-week and party-all-weekend- school? Do you want a school with a drink-in-the-dorms scene? Bar scene? Frat scene? Do you want to rush a sorority, or just go to parties? I’m not trying to make this harder, but “party school” can mean a lot of things. The bigger the school, the more variety you’ll have.

I want a “not work so hard, but still do some work, smart, drink on the weekends and some weeknights” type of school.
By the way, just an update, I just got my SAT scores and I got a 2160 total (800 math, 660 cr, 700 writing)

applying to dartmouth ED, but I wouldn’t hold out on getting in. You might want to do Georgetown EA as well, maybe think about Duke. There is a nice party scene there and you still graduate with a top degree.

Definitely look at Trinity, BC, Lehigh, Colgate, maybe Syracuse if you want a big school. These should all be target schools for you based on your profile. You’d have to visit (I suggest an overnight) to really figure out if it’s your scene. Schools like Ithaca and Union might be a little safer and/or give you merit money (if that’s of any concern).

You might also want to think about the climate in which you want to do all this partying. Warm? How about UMiami? Temperate? UVA, Wake Forest, etc. But those schools are all a lot bigger than the ones above.

If you think a little about the area you want to end up after (NYC? Boston? Cali? Chicago?), it might help your decision to think about where the most alumni connections are, and where the schools get the best brand name recognition. (Nobody in Cali will know Lehigh, but they’ll know Duke. It’s hard not to find a BC alum in a boston office. THat sort of thing.)
