What are some good summer programs?

can anyone tell me any summer programs that the admissions officers think highly of?

Cornell University has a summer program for high school students.

Yes, but have you seen how expensive it is?

How much does it cost (the Cornell program)? Are there scholarships? I have seen them on campus during the summer. They live in one of the freshman dorms I think.

The summer program at Cornell for high school students costs:

One-week $1,460
Three-week $4,350
Four-week $5,810
Six-week $7,250*

are you interests humanities or math/science?

holy ****, 7,250 for a program at a university....insanity

All or most of the top Universities have some sort of "pre-college" summer studies program. I would take a look at some of the top schools you're interested and research their summer programs...not only will it look good on your transcript/provide you with some interesting experience, but it will also give you a good idea of the school and give you an inside track when applying to said school later on.

God I hate those things though. They're totally made for making a lot of money off of rich high schoolers whose parents are concerned about college.

If you can find something you don't have to pay for, like an internship, in my mind that's more impressive. But maybe colleges don't care -I don't know.
