What are some jobs that pay 200K+?

I am headed for an MBA program at stanford and i want to know a job that could pay at least 200K a year. I'm not saying it has to be right out of college it could be after 2-3 of working. (Anything besides Investment Banker...lol)

Oh really? I thought you were a 17 year old high school junior. I don't think you are headed anywhere... certainly not Stanford GSB.

Opening a conversation by lying will automatically disqualify you from getting your questions answered.

Come back in 6 years once you learn to ask sophisticated questions that are actually based on some truth.

Seriously -- if you were headed to Stanford GSB, you would already know the answers to the questions you're asking. And you certainly wouldn't compose a message in the way you just did.

um yea kid stanford is where im headed buddy. i never said i was accepted just want to go their #1.gtfo

By the looks of your post, you definitely aren't headed "their". Maybe not anywhere, for that matter. Here's some free advice: Hit the books, stay away from drugs, and maybe we'll see you in a couple of years. Good luck.

dentists can make +200k/year and they don't need to go to any fancy business school and I heard their admissions test is really easy

oh, and they don't have to know how to spell

Anesthesiologist <--- but obviously, you must be able to spell to be one

dude thx man that effin sweet im going to look into that ;)

wow at first i felt bad for you because these guys were giving you a hard time but man

you make yourself look bad

i dont feel bad but i also think you guys need to chill out.

just cause you didn't like his stupid question doesn't mean hes not headed to stanford. anyone who jumps down his throat about how hes not stanford material is probably the jealous-type who would die to go to stanford themselves.

Well, I guess there's always the possibility that he's actually a Stanford GSB admit misrepresenting himself online -- but that's highly unlikely because I doubt their Round 1 application deadlines for the class of 2010 have even passed yet. So then that leaves making an observation about a person based on the content of their post. I don't know how much you know about the process of applying to b-schools but any candidate who has any hope of matriculating at a top school has a well thought out story for why they want to attain an MBA and how it fits into their short/long term career goals. Because it's blatantly obvious that type of thought wasn't put into his original question (or even any of his responses), nobody is going out on a limb by saying he's not headed to Stanford.

While I personally would probably have enjoyed going to Stanford GSB, I'm pretty happy with my own b-school experience and am not jealous of my friends and co-workers who have graduated from there.
Not really seeing the correlation between making a simple observation and personal jealousy... but thanks anyway for your two cents.

Wow I’m sorry but I don’t think your Standford material…
MBA ≠ Dentistry
They’re completely different
Personally, I don’t think there are a lot of MBA related jobs that pay over 200k

3 year old question, I wonder where they are now?

Some pornstars (but not the majority) make over 200+k/year. But if you’re a male, you probably have to get into the gay porn industry to make any real money.

Cristiano Ronaldo makes $200k per week ;)

Is 200k supposed to be a lot? lol

It’s tragic how many people enter, and to a lesser degree exit, prestigious business schools with absolutely no business sense.

Clearly OP was trying to get a bit of attention through lying, but his tone isn’t much different than a lot of undergrads at HPY when talking about business.

Depends on the cost of living of the area where you reside.

It also depends on the currency that you’re paid in. But we assume that it’s American just like we assume he’s living in a developed nation like America.

In any developed country presuming two hundred thousand, before taxes, is a lot of money is a ridiculous statement. I’m not saying you can’t live off of it comfortably, or that the cost of living in certain areas domestically is less than in other areas.

I was making the point that his post hints to the fact 200k is a lot of money, which it isn’t.

Yes it is you meat head. Considering 97% of the households in the US bring in less than $200,000/year and we’re talking about one person making $200,000/year, you’re telling me that is not a lot of money? Get of your high horse bud. I don’t care if some CEOs and athletes make 30million a year, that is a ridiculously small percentage of the total population. By most standards 200k is a lot of money. To say that stating 200k per year is a lot of money is a ridiculous statement, well, you’re the one making the ridiculous statement.

^^97% of the household bring less than $200 000/ year and this is why you think 200k is a lot ? You are wrong , my friend. Your problem is that you are comparing with this 97%, in other words, you are comparing with the plebians. Why not compare to the above 3 % ?Why not compare with the top 1% ? Compare yourself with that “ridiculously” small percentage of the total population. They are the real people, not the other 97%.
With that being said, 200k or even 150k is not bad for a starting salary out of a top b-school, law school, or med school. However, if you limit yourself with certain numbers just because the plebians live with less, too bad for you.
