I recently had to make a video for one of my classes and I was surprised by how much I liked it, does anyone know a really good summer camp for film making?

can someone plz respond???

…

There are actually quite a few.

The ones that I know the most about are these.

NYU Tisch Summer High School (cost $10,000 financial aid available):
Its a six-week program that offers college credit in film, and they also have camps in the area of photography, acting, musical theatre, and writing (for screen and plays). Each area accepts between 15 and 50 people, from a pool of over 500 applicants. I applied earlier this year and was wait-listed for the film program. :(. Probably one of the best camps you can get into; not to mention it looks great on an NYU application.

Interlochen Arts Camp (cost $5,000-$7,000 financial aid available):
During the regular school year, Interlochen is one of the most prestigious boarding schools in the country for the performing arts (theatre, music, visual arts, film, dance, and writing). During the summer though, they boast one of the most comprehensive arts camps in the world, attracting people from many different countries. I plan on applying next year. :D

New York Film Academy Summer Camp(cost $3,000-$6,000 financial aid not available):
Although this camp is less expensive than the others, virtually anybody can get in as long as you pay. lol. Nevertheless, it still offers valuable experience in writing a screenplay, operating a 16mm camera, and using final cut pro. Not to mention, depending on the program you choose, you will leave with 1-4 short films for your portfolio. All in all, if your parents can front the 5gs it costs to go and you get rejected from the other camps, I would suggest going to this one.

I know there are probably a ton more out there, but these were the only ones I knew about.
I’m totally gonna bump this thread.
Bump.
