<p>I can’t tell you exact rates but Horace Mann, Trinity and Dalton are EXTREMELY difficult to get in to. They are the coveted coed schools here. I’ve known top students who have been WL or not offered a spot at these three schools. I can tell you that with Trinity it doesn’t hurt to have a connection of some sort. The families that I know that attend all have been legacy, sibs or knew a board member. I’m not saying it’s impossible to get a spot at these three schools but NYC has tons of families who go private and a high percentage of those families only apply to day schools…so the competition is fierce.
